How important is education in today's society. To answer that let's look back in time.
Education has been around since the beginning of time. As cultures have grown and changed they have figured out ways to improve and to pass on that knowledge to others. Over the years there have been changes that have resulted in new education spawning more education and so on.
Education is really a result of curiosity. People who want to find a way to do things better have led to inventions that make everyone's life easier. This knowledge has led to new inventions and teachings. Ultimately we have ended up with a society where education plays an important role in determining the careers and income of most people.
Today education is easily achieved from everyone from 2 to 90 years old. The internet has totally changed the way we research and access information. There is nothing anyone can not learn if they want to. If you have the ability, and know how to access the money necessary to obtain a degree, there is no career out of the reach of virtually anywhere in the world.
It all comes down to getting an education. But it even affects other areas of our life. We live in the information age. If you want to install a new sink, you can quickly watch a video tutorial on how to do it right on the internet. Not sure how to train your dog? Buy an eBook from a professional for less than $30 and be reading it in a matter of minutes.
This is self education and is only limited by your ability to teach yourself and comprehend what you are learning. But even that is not totally true.
Today there are thousands of discussion forums around the world that you can join for free and interact with other people of like interests. Let's say you want to start a home business on the internet. You can join an internet marketing forum and ask questions on everything from how to build a website to how to advertise online.
Discussion forums are a great way to learn what you need to learn at the exact time you need to learn it. Even better the cost is only an investment of your time.
In the future you will see more and more people by passing college for online degrees. As more and more people work at home, companies will educate their employees via internet training and conference calls. All you need is a computer with internet access.
So to answer the question education has always been important and will become even more so in the future. The only thing changing is how you access it.
